Speaking on , Doherty said: "Sometimes it takes you to move away from a place to find yourself, to realise what you need to do, maybe to get back to a place. Because he should be playing week in, week out for Atletico. That’s not the case but I’m pretty sure he’s going to be playing at the highest level imaginable – Champions League, stuff like that – pretty soon. Huge, huge potential."
